The Spark Mill is proud to announce a new two-year partnership with the Obici Healthcare Foundation, with The Spark Mill serving as lead capacity-building partner. Starting this fall, we will work hand in hand with the Foundation’s team and with nonprofits across Western Tidewater and Gates County, North Carolina, helping organizations build on their strengths and grow their impact in the communities they serve. The partnership includes one-on-one technical assistance and coaching, peer learning cohorts in strategic planning and leadership, workshops throughout the year, and an annual convening that brings organizations together. These opportunities will be open to nonprofits in the region whether or not they currently receive funding from the Foundation.
At the heart of this work is the simple belief that lasting change happens through relationships. Over the next two years, The Spark Mill will collaborate closely with the Foundation’s program officers, aligning support with their knowledge of the region, while getting to know nonprofits directly, listening first and meeting each organization where it is. Together, we will shape a path that fits each organization’s goals, whether that is a strategic plan, stronger board leadership, new fundraising strategies or a peer cohort to learn alongside. Where specialized expertise is needed, we will draw on a trusted network of partners to make sure every organization gets the right support.
This project is funded by the Obici Healthcare Foundation.
