Stories of client success are vital for fundraising success. Development offices often struggle to capture and share these stories in a respectful way that highlights client success and does not dip into "white savior" territory. This workshop will review strategies for respectful collection and dissemination of stories, tools to curate stories from clients, and an overview of the diversity and inclusion landscape around storytelling.

Participants will:

• Understand white savior syndrome and identify whether it applies to them.

• Understand how to collect stories that honor the voice of clients

• Understand how to transform client-centered stories into fundraising stories
